Price versus value–for you and your customer

Every business person (and artist, author, inventor, and musician, too) must make decisions about how to price a product. When you have poured your heart and soul into a finished product like a book or a piece of art, it may be hard to separate the perceived value to you, the creator—and thus the “obvious” price in toil and time—from the perceived value to the person who will actually purchase this masterpiece—and thus the price that will generate sales.

If you struggle with pricing, David Gaughran sums up the problems that confront all creative individuals trying to earn a living through their art and offers solutions in “The great e-book pricing question.”
