Should you be talking about over-delivering?

You’ve probably heard some experts and self-proclaimed gurus talk about how they “overdeliver.” Should you be following their example?

In my humble opinion, I think not. Instead, your honesty, your sincere desire to help your clients, and your outstanding customer service should automatically cause others to sing your praises. This works for me.

• Real-life examples of your expertise
• Free word-of-mouth advertising
• Believable testimonials
• Customer satisfaction that comes with good communication and solid, fulfilled promises (a completely different approach than “underpromising and overdelivering”)
