5 steps to consistent quality content

Do you hate to write? Does your creativity vanish when faced with a blank sheet of paper? Here are five steps you can take to make consistent creation of quality content easier on yourself.

1. Always keep pen and paper handy
You never know when inspiration will strike so keep recording material with you—pen and paper, a tape recorder, a camera—whatever works best for you.

2. Create an ideas file
File all your favorite humor, photos worth a thousand words, inspirational quotes, industry and trending news, intriguing stories, top ten lists, cool tools, case studies, and product or technology reviews in one place. Develop these blurbs into content when you need it.

3. Schedule writing for your most creative time of the day
Don’t try to create quality content under time pressure. Plan ahead so you can use your best time of day for writing articles, blog posts, newsletters, and Web content.

4. Set aside a block of uninterrupted time
Treat content creation as an appointment. Write as much as you can in the allotted time. If you create too much content in one sitting (always a nice problem to have), break it into blog posts, articles, news for multiple issues of your newsletter, etc. and schedule them throughout the coming weeks and months. If you were really productive, consider publishing an e-book, Nook book, or Kindle book of your material. I can help you with that.

5. Stick with one theme
Pick one theme for each of your content creation appointments. Staying focused will help you create more in less time.

If you still can’t come up with the consistent quality content you need, hire a ghostwriter and virtual assistant like me to collect your ideas, create keyword-rich content, and post for you.
